There are many  sub-specialties an internist can have, such as, specializing in a specific organ, like the kidneys or lungs; any  particular disease, say diabetes; or an exact age group, like the young.

Pediatrics- A pediatrician specializes in the overall health of children. Most pediatricians’ cure children from birth  till teenage.

Choosing a general medicine doctor can be challenging. You might not want to just choose a name from      the phone book. Here are some ideas to choose general medicine doctor in you city:

• Your health insurance- Your health insurance plan may have list of general medicine doctors practicing in your city. You can choose from there.
• Referral- you can ask from your friends, colleges or family members about general medicine doctors.
